Your role as an Audit Manager:

  • Servicing clients and managing a portfolio of Wealth Management clients
  • Act as lead on audit work and setting budgets and reporting directly to the Partner

  • Involved in business development – preparing and review of proposals for new work, marketing events and identification of new opportunities with existing clients

  • ACA, ACCA, CA or an equivalent qualification
  • Significant external audit experience within a professional services environment
  • Experience of working with entrepreneurial, OMB, SME and AIM listed clients

  • Strong communication skills and experience with the management and motivation of staff

Description

  • Preparing monthly management accounts for the holding company and a family company
  • Preparing annual budget and forecasts for the holding company and a family company
  • Providing support for day-to-day banking matters across the Group
  • Assist with SAO compliance across all Group companies
  • Collate business information for tax computations including the R&D claim (still need?)
  • Prepare quarterly cash tax forecasting for payment on account purposes
  • Preparation of the PAYE settlement agreement, P11Ds, P46s and payrolling BIK calculations
  • Management of employee expense claim and company credit card processes
  • Assisting with the annual statutory audit and accounts process for Group and family companies
  • Working with the Group Accounting and Tax Manager to implement improvements identified as part of internal or external audits
  • Assisting with the Groups short/medium term cash flow forecasts including managing and reviewing entity cash flow submissions and identifying and implementing improvements in the forecasting process
  • Assisting with the development of various financial reports as we look to improve the quality of our reporting as we move over to Microsoft Dynamics D365
  • Provide support and cover to the Group Accounting and Tax Manager and other members of the Group Finance Team
  • Any other financial analysis and projects as required by the Group Accounting and Tax Manager or the Company Secretary

Profile

  • ACA, ACCA OR CIMA qualified accountant
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Excel intermediate standard or above
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines through effectively prioritising and organising workload
  • Ability to work independently but also to be a flexible team player
  • Experience of dealing with an audit in the AQR regime
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics D365
